Join these Memes

If you haven’t participated in any memes yet, please do!

Memes are a wonderful way to get in touch with other bloggers, and to get your blog under their attention.

If you don’t have time to write separate posts for every meme, why not combine them? For instance, combine Wicked Wednesday with Food for Thought, or Tie Me Up Tuesday with Fun Them Photo Meme. You can also combine more than two memes if you want.

This is a list of possible memes you can participate in:

Note: As memes I have listed ‘Question Memes’ and ‘101 things in 1001 days’. These are not memes in the same sense as the others, but they are projects you can work on in your own time frame. The Smut Marathon is also listed, and this is also not a meme, but an annual writing competition.

Fun Theme Photo Meme

Host: Sweet
Frequency: Monthly
Prompt: Yes, not compulsory

Description:
Fun Theme Photo Meme is exactly what the name says it is: a photo meme where you can have fun. There is a monthly prompt, but how you interpret it, is totally up to you. Sweetgirl says that all you need for this meme is a camera (or a phone with a camera) and a sense of humor. This meme is all about visual fun!

Even more fun is that you can link up as many images as you want every month. Want to do a photo a day and link all of them up, go for it. Want to do one a week? Go for it. Want do do only one? You are more than welcome, as long as you have fun, both in taking your images, as in sharing them!

Musically Ranting

Host: Jae Lynn
Frequency: Bi-weekly
Prompt: Yes

Description:
Jae Lynn started this meme because she wanted to share her passion for music with other bloggers and while doing so, wanted others to tell her about their musical preferences, and maybe hear or learn something new. We all have different preferences when it comes to music (and other things) and music says something about us. Music calls up memories, evoke emotions, and for this meme you can write about that and share the song!

You are allowed to share two posts for each prompt.

Tie me up Tuesday

Host: MLSlavePuppet
Frequency: Bi-weekly
Prompt: Yes

Description:
ML was trying out different rope ties when she decided to start this meme, and get other people to join in with their self-ties too. She shares videos with tutorials for self-ties, and then, once you have used the rope on yourself, you take a picture and share it for Tie me up Tuesday. There will be a new prompt every other week.

TMITuesday

TMI Tuesday

Host: TMI Tuesday Blog
Frequency: Weekly on Tuesday
Prompt: Yes

Description:
TMI Tuesday is a meme where you get a set of questions, which you answer and post on your own blog.

A confessional where people come to reveal too much information–sexy secrets, dirty deeds, and more.

Questions are mostly produced by Hedone, but other bloggers can also send in a list of question.

Erotic Journal Challenge

Erotic Journal Challenge

Host: Brigit Delaney
Frequency: Monthly
Prompt: Yes

Description:
Sometimes a question can spark a series of thoughts which help you discover or realize something about yourself. These weekly questions can help you with that.

Welcome to the Challenge! This is a weekly journal prompt activity I’m starting to help myself explore my own eroticism. Over the past years, I feel like I’ve sort of fallen out of the habit of living an erotic life…or maybe I should just be honest and say, I’ve never really lived a fully erotic life, at least not in the way I’d like to. Getting in deep touch with my own sensuality is something I’ve struggled with. Every so often, I catch a glimpse, and truly get a sense of what it is that turns me on and heats me up. But, it’s like a back warming burner on the stove…easy to forget about, never hot enough, and I’m always just a little afraid to turn it up to high.

4 Thoughts and Fiction

Host: May More
Frequency: Fortnightly
Prompt: Yes

Description:
Questions spark your inspiration to talk about sex, about mental health, about every day things.

Each week, on Friday, we will post a new question. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to write a post giving your thoughts/opinions on the topic raised.

There are, of course, no wrong answers.

The Menopause Diaries

The Menopause Diaries

Host: Marie Rebelle
Frequency: Ongoing
Prompt: No

Description:
Just as important as it is to share stories about menstruation, I feel it’s important to talk about menopause too. It’s never the same for two women, and experiences should be shared.

I invite you all to share your menopausal stories for this meme: The Menopause Diaries. Share your experiences, the difficulties you run into, the funny side of menopause. And, this is not a meme exclusive to women. If there are men out there who have sexual partners who suffer from symptoms of (peri)menopause, we would love to hear your stories too.

The Oral Sex Project

The Oral Sex Project

Host: Marie Rebelle
Frequency: Ongoing
Prompt: No

Description:
If you’re a sex blogger, chances are you have written or will again write about oral sex. This is the place to share those stories.

Do you enjoy cock-sucking or eating pussy? Have you always enjoyed it or did you have to learn to enjoy it? What has changed for you to enjoy it, or maybe you have tried and you still don’t enjoy it? Has someone helped you to find it more enjoyable? In which way were you helped? Are there factors that have an effect on whether you do or don’t enjoy oral sex? Do you have favorite ways of performing oral sex, or receiving it?

Life Matters

Host: May More
Frequency: Random (subscribe to site for updates)
Prompt: Yes

Description:
Life Matters is a resource meme, which for a month focuses on one subject, and where bloggers can add their knowledge and experiences for others to read and learn from. The first two subjects were Food and Books, named ‘Food Matters’ and ‘Books Matter’.

In May’s own words:

I want each Matters link up post to be a resource. A place where others can find useful information about that particular subject. After all  bloggers are a very intelligent bunch and like to write and read about many different things. So let’s share our knowledge for the greater good of us all.

Monochromerotic

Host: Littlegem
Frequency: Weekly
Prompt: No

Description:
Monochromatic is a place where you can share your monochrome images. Littlegem explains:

Monochromatic photography is about using just one colour. This doesn’t just mean black and white, it’s all shades of one colour so have some fun with it and see what you can create. This effect can be created, post photo, using editing software or whilst taking the photo, using a scene of predominantly one colour (or a mix of both).

The next stage of the theme is erotic. This of course does not necessarily mean nudity (but feel free if you wish to shed your clothing) just a body and image that is sexually suggestive or provocative.

Monochrome + Erotic = MONOCHROMEROTIC Get it? See, I knew you would!

Erotic Poetry Challenge

Host: Brigit Delaney
Frequency: Monthly
Prompt: Yes, but not compulsory

Description:
Poetry is a different way to express yourself, and sometimes have a deeper layer than prose. Brigit explains:

When I first started blogging, many years ago, I began with poetry. It was a way to clarify intense feelings and confused emotions. In fact, it’s how I’ve always navigated my complex mental and emotional reactions to complicated events. When I can’t seem to find simple, clear words to express my thoughts, I can often (ironically, I suppose) express them through poetry (which some find to be difficult to both write and make sense of). For me, poetry is a language all its own. Some can speak it…understand it. Others cannot. Which is okay.

Mindful Moments

Host: the barefoot sub
Frequency: Monthly
Prompt: Yes, but not compulsory

Description:
Mindful Moments is a space where you can share your silver linings, where you share your positive moments, not only for yourself, but also for others who are going through difficult times, and to help then find those silver linings again.

I have created Mindful Moments as a space where I can refer back to positive moments at times when I am struggling. A place to reflect on the evidence that things can, and usually do, turn out ok. Also somewhere to celebrate the positives and lessons when things are going well.

I am a strong believer that “feelings are meant to be felt“. I embrace the challenges that I encounter, often with the support of a friend. As a naturally positive person I generally find the lesson in those dark times, or find a silver lining. Being mindful of these as I pass through negativity helps me to come out the other side. It has increased my resilience in the face of adversity.

The Penis Project

Host: Kilted Wookie
Frequency: Ongoing
Prompt: No

Description:
This is a meme dedicated to a particular part of anatomy, but you don’t need to possess the specific part to write for The Penis Project.

Simply write a post sharing an opinion, though or experience relating to, or involving the aforementioned anatomical appendage, then add your link to the list tool below. Please make sure that any content you share is your own, or that you have permission from the content owner to share it.

Love Your Selfie

Host: Sweet
Frequency: Ongoing
Prompt: No

Description:
This is a place where you can share anything about body image, whether you feel good about your body or not. Are you following an diet, and you want to share before and after pics, then this is where you should be.

Love your selfie is a project aimed at promoting a positive body image. I hope that people from all backgrounds will join in and share images of themselves that they love or like. It is my belief that we have been told for too long that there is a desirable way to ‘look’ and that when we do not conform to this ‘look’ we are labeled as being ‘other’. Why should we put up with being called too fat or too thin, too tall or too short? Who decided what was ‘normal’ anyway? I myself struggle a great deal with my body image, avoiding mirrors when I gain weight and I know it contributes a great deal to my depression.

SB4MH

Sex Bloggers for Mental Health

Host: SassyCat
Frequency: Monthly
Prompt: Yes, but not compulsory

Description:
Sex bloggers don’t always write about sex. They also write about other things, such as their mental health and how it influences there lives… and yes, also their sex drives. People who write about sex are not always welcomed in communities where people write about mental health, but for this meme you can openly write about both.

Some bloggers shared about how depression caused a low sex drive. Side effects from medications caused a low sex drive. Grief, suffering a loss of a marriage, spouse or parent caused the loss of interest in sex or sometimes it can cause a person to act out sexually.

I wanted to create a project, movement or meme that stands up for both, being a sex blogger who writes about sex and a mental health blogger someone who writes & shares about mental health. Because sometimes writing about one topic includes the other.

Knowledge is power. The more we share, discuss and listen the better we understand. Learning from each other, giving each other peace of mind. Supporting each other, letting them know they are not alone.

101 things in 1001 days

Day Zero is the creator of the 101 things in 1001 days, which technically isn’t a meme, but has been turned into a kind of a meme by a couple of sex bloggers when they decided to draw up a list of goals. Molly decided to create a page for all the bloggers to link their different posts and pages to.

Are you working on a 101 things in 1001 days list or do you want to create one and start working towards your goals? Then please link your list to Molly’s page and when you blog about your progress, link those posts too.

Do you want to join in with this but have no idea where to start? You might find some inspiration on my first list of 101 things in 1001 days.

Question memes

There are also some other memes that come with a set of questions and they are also quite interesting and fun to participate in:
