Morag mentioned it already: it’s almost exactly a week ago that she did the roundup. In fact, in 2021 she did the roundup for the 15th week of the year, and this time for the 16th. So maybe I should ‘book’ her already for the 17th week of 2023. Enough joking!

I am delighted she has done the roundup again, and do miss her writing! Life just seems to run away with us all, right? It’s because we are all so busy that I am even more grateful for all who link their posts every week. YOU keep the meme going.

Morag has written a lot about her relationship and her exciting life. So even though she’s not writing much at this moment, please hop over to her blog to read what’s there, and follow her on Twitter.

Top 3 for week 516 by Morag

I can hardly believe it has been almost exactly a year since I last did the round up for prompt #463. I’m also struggling to get my head around the fact that we’re almost a third of the way through the year and I’ve written no more than a handful of posts for my own blog. The past two years have taken their toll in numerous ways and those of us that work in healthcare are still only dealing with the tip of the iceberg.

Anyway, that aside, it’s great that this meme keeps going and growing and that is down to the fantastic contributions of all who take part week after week; the regulars, the occasionals, the new bloggers and those who, for their own reasons, have stepped away from the blogging world, either temporarily or permanently.

Last time around, there were 18 contributions to read and enjoy before making the agonising decision as to which three to whittle it down to. There were slightly fewer this time, 14 to be precise, and although that meant less reading, it didn’t reduce the enjoyment or the difficulty of choosing just three for this review.

So, without further ado, and in no order at all, here are the three that somehow spoke to me the most…

Sex With A Stranger – Old Mike
So this was one I could relate to on a number of levels. It charts how the writer’s relationship with sex has evolved over their life, how their tastes have changed and while they now have a partner to enjoy sex with on a regular basis, there is always a thrill involved with a random encounter.

“I have learned much about my sexual needs in those years and once in a while I need to have sex with a total stranger but sex which is unapologetic and has few limits.”

I completely get, and also enjoy that need for something different, and if you read my blog you will know that I am lucky that I am allowed to explore that particular need, so long as I’m prepared to pay the price.

Thumbing A Ride – Steeled Snake
This was simply a joyous delight. A shining night dashing (well, driving) to assistance of a maiden in distress.; and her need to “repay” him for his services.

“I’m so sorry, but I just don’t have ANY money to pay you with for the ride, sir. Is there anything, anything at all I can do to repay you for your kindness?”

OK, it’s not really, but you get my drift. It’s cheeky, it’s naughty, and it’s just so much fun. Again, it speaks to the little games we play within our relationships that make sex about so much more than just the physical act. It also has a delightful twist at the end.

Night Visions – Jaime Mortimer
I’ve always been a fan of Jaime’s writing, and this is no exception. Me, I do love an MFF threesome and I love the way that the possibility of one developing is negotiated in this story.

“Maires figured that her best chance was for me to fuck Stephanie first, and then for us bring Maires into bed later. With negotiation, by Stephanie’s invitation, or it wouldn’t happen.”

Having set the scene and allowed the anticipation to build, I’m really looking forward to see how this story develops.

So those are my choices. A huge “Thank you!” to the above and to all the other contributors for giving me such an enjoyably difficult task; again!
