Time is flying by so incredibly quickly. Here we are, at the beginning of March already, and it feels like only yesterday I gave my husband a kiss and wished him a better year than 2021 has been. What I love of this time of year are the days getting longer. When I wake up in the morning, it’s not entirely dark anymore, and in the past week we’ve been blessed with glorious sunshiny days. Are you enjoying the early spring as much as I am?
Time for the top 3!
Top 3 for week 509 by Marie Rebelle
This time for the top 3 I chose three posts for totally random reasons. In no particular order…
H is for Historian by Steeled Charmer
I have always been intrigued by family trees, but a year or two ago I started looking into my father’s side of the family and discovered a website with my maiden name, and ALL my ancestors. Except, it stopped at my grandfather. So, I am in the process of adding my father and his siblings, and who came after. That’s the reason the very first sentence of Charmer’s post made me lean closer to the screen, and I just love that she is working through old images. What a work of love!
All I’ve got is a photograph by Mrs Feendish
From the moment I started reading this blog, I loved the photographs on it. To wear rubber and latex doesn’t interest me, but I absolutely love seeing the images, and even more so, seeing others having fun. Mrs Feendish shares those images on her blog, but it’s what she said about photographs that totally resonated with me:
When I look at photographs of what I’ve done, it’s sometimes almost like a flashback to that moment, it reminds me of the feeling, of the interaction with the people, of the emotion behind what was happening.
Notice This by Kristan X
I am a fan of Kristan’s writing, and these little snippets, where he says so much with so little words definitely are my favorite. Last week’s post was striking, and this one is exactly the same. Read it, picture it! It made me squirm for sure!
Think back on your younger years, your first crushes, your first serious love relationship… share your memories of those times, things you have learned about yourself, or write a story of young love.
When you write and link your post, consider linking it to other memes too. You can find current prompts and memes on the Blogable calendar.
As always, you are welcome to link any stories or posts that don’t follow the prompt!
Want to participate in the memes but don’t know how?
Do you have a blog and you want to link to Wicked Wednesday, but you don’t know how to add the badge or how to add your post? Please follow this guide.
If you don’t have a blog and you want to participate in one of the prompts, please look at this page and submit your writing or image. I will do the rest.
- The rules for this meme can be found here and you can download the Wicked Wednesday badge on the same page.
- Don’t forget to add the Wicked Wednesday button to your post, post on your blog and come back here to link your post. The countdown in the sidebar will tell you how much time is left for you to link your post.
- Please note that it is not compulsory to follow the weekly prompt. It is only here for inspiration when you need it!
- Please make your stories no longer than 1500 words.
Thank you for participating and please, don’t forget to visit and read the other entries too! We all love to receive comments on our entries. Spread the love!
