I always enjoy Cousin Pons’ writing, but sadly he hasn’t write for quite some time. Hopefully soon we will be able to read some of his beautifully crafted stories again. In the meantime, we are welcoming him back to the roundup for Wicked Wednesday, and you can read his stories on his blog, or follow him on Twitter.

Top 3 for week 485 by Cousin Pons

I have of late, wherefore I know not, lost the ability to string a sentence together. The last story I wrote was way back in December. Thankfully I still enjoy reading and what a pleasure it was to pick the top three for Wicked Wednesday Week #485: Promotion.

Self promotion is something I have never been good at so it was very useful to see how others have honed their skills in this area. As usual there were also some excellent stories and two of my choices are actually episodes from longer stories but I enjoyed them none the less.

Completing The List by Purple’s Gem
PurpleSole has created a celebration of LittleGem’s pregnancy in word and image. Five fabulous photographs to treasure, as a memory of this wonderful time in their lives.

Moon Feather: Part Four: A Pretty Penny by Dancer in Chains
I loved this Western story. (I haven’t read a story about the wild west since the 1970s. A book called the Shootist.) I found, the descriptions of the characters, the setting and the language, intriguing and very comforting.

Airport (2a) by Rafael
I liked how this was from a series of letters.(I always loved Les Liaisons Dangereuses) Originally in Spanish and translated by Marie. It had a sort of dreamlike quality. Gloriously erotic and written in a very fluid style that wafted over me like a warm Mediterranean wind.

Most of us have been to the cinema at least once in our lives, or have seen movies on television. Do you have favorite movie stars? Or maybe there are movies you just can’t get through when certain actors or actresses play in them? Share your thoughts on movies and especially movie stars, or write a fictional story about a movie star.

When you write and link your post, consider linking it to other memes too. You can find current prompts and memes on the Blogable calendar.

As always, you are welcome to link any stories or posts that don’t follow the prompt!
