I am delighted to welcome back Kristan X for the roundup of Wicked Wednesday. He has done it once before, for week 422, which you can read here. I love Kristan’s writing, not only the erotic fiction, but also the different guides on his blog. You can also follow him on Twitter.
Top 3 for week 468 by Kristan X
It was a real pleasure to read all of the different takes people have on the idea of “Harmony” – such a mix of ideas and angles… and yet all of them with the same central subject. It was a tough job to pick just three, but here they are nonetheless.
H is for Harmony – Steeled Snake
This one really hit me between the eyes with its simple reminder that harmony isn’t necessarily sameness. Sometimes harmony arises from discordance… perhaps a harmony is even richer for having many different notes within it. Personally, that’s something I feel very strongly in my life and my relationships.
Lingering in Fishnets – Purple’s Gem
I love the mix of textures in this image. Skin and fishnet tights. Fishnet tights and brickwork. There’s a disharmony between the sensual experiences each of these offer, but it’s a very pleasing disharmony. And, on top of that, I’ve lived in houses with a similar shared alleyway, and I can imagine how fun it was to shoot there!
I Am Selfish with You – Asrai Devin
Selfishness. We normally think of it as a bad thing – something that’s all-too-often linked with jealousy. Here, though, we see selfishness inverted. It’s a beautifully-written piece, and a lovely reminder that there are many ways of looking at concepts such as harmony, unity, and (indeed) selfishness.
We all need to do self-care, whether it’s because of your mental or physical health or something totally different. Taking care of ourselves is not always easy, and each of us do it differently. What works for the one, doesn’t work for the next. One person might be able to lose themselves in a book, another binge-watching series. The next might have regular masturbation sessions, and yet another might go on long walks. Share the ways you take care of yourself.
When you write and link your post, consider linking it to other memes too. You can find current prompts and memes on the Blogable calendar.
