Sitting here, looking out the window, I am so happy it is weekend. I need a good rest, and am planning to do a lot of that this weekend!
Top 3 for week 457 by Marie Rebelle
Last week I repeated a prompt from the past, where I challenged you to write from the perspective of an inanimate object, in this case a wedding bouquet. Some of you jumped at the challenge, while others decided not to take a chance on it. I really enjoyed reading the posts, and even though less posts than the weeks before had been linked, it was quite a challenge to choose a top 3.
But here goes!
Blathering Blooms – Tale of a Wedding Bouquet by MrsK
First of all, I love the title ‘Blathering Blooms’. There is something about alliteration that always gets my attention! MrsK did an excellent job of giving each flower a fitting personality of her own, and tell the story by using the flowers in the wedding bouquet. I loved the description of Tulip’s ‘attire’.
Keeping Secrets by Mrs Jones
Where this story is not on prompt – remember, your story doesn’t have to be on prompt – I’m including it in my roundup, because this chapter gave Carmen’s character more depth. Her doubts, her thoughts… this makes for a nice interlude after all the sex(iness) of the previous chapters, and makes the story feel very real.
Here comes the bridal bouquet by Submissy
I was in need of a smile when I read Missy’s story, and it had me snorting and snickering in places, especially at phrases such as ‘Hold onto your compost…’. Where MrsK gave different flowers their own personalities, Missy gave the bouquet a personality, and a fun one it is!
This week the prompt is ‘mouth’. Think about all the things you can do with your mouth, sexy things, and not so sexy things. Your mouth can spread love and friendship, or hate and mistrust. Share the ways and things you use your mouth for.
If you write about using your mouth for oral sex, please consider adding your post to The Oral Sex Project. Or when you talk about sex, especially the health aspect of it, please consider also adding your post to Sexual Health.
As always, you are welcome to link any stories or posts that don’t follow the prompt!
