Ever since I started asking others to do the top 3 for Wicked Wednesday, I have always had myself as a backup for when something is going on their lives and they are no longer able t do the roundup. Sweet was going to do the roundup, but it was just not possible for her, seeing the state of her health. She will be back to do it, when she feels stronger. In the meantime you might want to read her blog, or support her on Twitter. Remember, a smile and a kind word goes a long way.

Top 3 for week 436 by Marie Rebelle

I think this must have been the first time ever that I didn’t find it difficult to choose a top 3, as there were three posts that stayed with me after I have read it, and not only for a while, but I still remember them and think they will stay with me for some time longer.

Penny Speaks by Kristan X
This post deals with the difficulty of asking for something you really want, but it does so in such a way that you feel how Penny struggles with her words, her thoughts. She wants to say the words, but can’t get them past her lips, no matter how much she wants to ask. Written words are just so much easier, right? This is such a brilliant post!

Small World After All by MrsK
Sometimes the emotions in a post just grips me in such a way, that it totally pulls me in, and by the end of the post tears sting my eyes. That is what MrsK’s post did. It’s not a sad post after all, but beautiful and special, and it shows how some things in life are just not meant to be. I wish I had MrsK’s wanderlust when I was younger, and had dared on going on a trip like this! I really loved reading this.

World Map by Submissy
From the beginning to the end of this poem, Submissy followed the prompt, and took us on a journey with her. Every word coordinated to navigate your way through her words, and experience the deep emotions with which this has been written, the love, the dedication. Absolutely beautiful!

If I hear the word ‘dragon’ the first I think about is the dragons in Game of Thrones, and the gorgeous dragon queen. In stories dragons can be good or evil, loved or feared, but they are always mythical in some or other way. This week we want to hear about dragons, whether it’s a story you’ve written, a movie you’ve seen, a book you read or even a tattoo you got. Share your dragons!

As always, you are welcome to link any stories or posts that don’t follow the prompt!

The roundup for this week’s prompt will be done by Kilted Wookie.

5 thoughts on “Prompt #437: Dragons

  1. I wrote a fictional story for the dragon prompt and Ben just hates it!!!
I am gonna publish it because I don’t have anything else yet…but I might try to think of something else and remove the first one if I do.
I don’t know….I understand why Ben does not like it…it is a weird story. But I was not sure what to do on the subject of dragons!!!
