I have been looking forward to doing this post again, as I just love statistics. Even though I can check those stats in my Excel file every day of the year, I don’t, because I love to see what the numbers show right at the end of the year. Since tomorrow is the first day of the new year, the prompt that has gone live last Saturday, Prompt #396, is declared the first prompt for 2020.
I started doing these roundup posts in 2015, when it still had a different structure from those I did in 2016, in 2017 and in 2018.
So without further ado, let’s look at the numbers from this year in comparison to those of the past years.
First and best
The first prompt for 2019 was number 344 and the last one was number 395.
The best week of 2019 was for prompt 350 when we had 38 posts linked. Just like last year and years before, I am still chasing to have 50 links for one week, and secretly I hope that will happen for prompt #400, which is in a couple of weeks.
Total numbers
This table shows the accumulative numbers from the beginning of the meme, although this year 2012 is not shown in the table anymore. I think by the end of 2020 we will hit a total of ten thousand posts that have been linked for Wicked Wednesday!

Up to prompt 128 I haven’t done a top 3, but as from prompt 129 I felt I wanted to highlight the three posts that really touched me. For several months I was the only one doing the top 3, until during a very difficult time in my life, Exposing40 suggested to ask others to do the top 3. I will be forever grateful for her suggesting this, and opening up the opportunity to involve the entire community with my meme.
As I am a bit of a stats whore (as if you haven’t figured that out yet!), I kept track of the top 3 posts from the moment I started doing it. Thank god for Excel, where I keep track of everything.
