It’s wonderful to welcome Posy Churchgate back to the top 3 of Wicked Wednesday. She did the roundup once before for week 347 (read it here), and now give her unique view on the posts that were linked for last week’s prompt. You can find Posy’s stories and images on her blog, and follow her on Twitter.

Top 3 for week 388 by Posy Churchgate

This is not my first “Rodeo” – I’ve judged #Wicked Wednesday before, but it does not get any easier! The quality of entries are so varied and each one shines for its own reason. This week the prompt was Observe, which sparked more fact pieces than fiction but all were varied and intriguing.

Sometimes judges employ the ‘cull’ of picking only entries which respond to the prompt, but that would have cut out some wonderful linked posts. As a way to feature my runners up (those which exceeded the top 3) by featuring them in my next #SoSS post.

The criteria for selecting my top 3 selections is that all were voices which must be heard; by as many people as possible. I’ll start by introducing you to a guest writer.

Marie discovered a new voice:

Vanesse : Rainy Day in Heavens
This was a fabulous exploration of kinks and first times. Our participants were so genteel and their interaction so beautiful that I urge everyone to read this and share. Vanesse, a very self-effacing writer (currently without a blog), imparts a loud message of ‘anything goes’ which I want the world to embrace.

Another big message comes from my next selection:

Inigo More : Observing a Sex Blogger or Two
Reading this post written by May’s man who sometimes contributes to her site, I felt educated, supported and understood yet rallied to a cause! Mr More’s enthusiasm and passion for his topic is infectious. Many sacrifices have been made over the centuries to win our freedom of self expression – both sexually and on the internet – it’s thrilling when he bangs the drum for not letting the patriarchy or the prudes silence us. Read it for yourself, his turn of phrase is exemplary and stirring.

Finally a memorial:

This Girl : More Than Material
This Girl’s piece both moved and spoke to me. Rubber is not my kink, nor am I familiar with the subject of her piece, but she speaks of both with a passion and honesty that touched me. Her insights into rubber fetishism and some of the motivations behind those who enjoy that kink are fun and frank. This post acts as a memorial to a special person.

I really appreciate Marie’s constant curation of this meme which has inspirational prompts and a great outreach, bringing great reading traffic to those who link up their posts. Supporting #Wicked Wednesday builds our community.

Astrology is the study of the movements and relative positions of celestial bodies interpreted as having an influence on human affairs and the natural world, or in simple language, horoscopes. Do you believe in astrology? If yes, why and of no, why not? What sexy stories can you weave around this theme?

As always you can also link stories that do not follow the prompt!

The roundup for this week’s prompt will be done by May More.
