I have a confession to make: when I asked Ella to do the top 3, I planned her in for week 334, and then deliberately chose the prompt Halloween, because I just thought this prompt fit her perfectly. I know Halloween is only next week, but this way you had all the stories on time to get you in the right frame of mind for Halloween, right?
Ella is no stranger to the top 3, as she has also done it for week 303, (which you can read here). If you have not read Ella’s stories yet, you are definitely missing out, so please visit her blog and read. You can also follow her on Twitter.
Top 3 by Ella Scandal
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; these meme round-ups are wicked. It’s so hard to choose just three pieces, but it’s been especially difficult this time around because the prompt was Halloween, and Halloween is basically my patronus. Every writer brought something different and wonderful, and I had a helluva job filling the third slot, but I got there in the end.
Stone Creek Hotel by Molly’s Daily Kiss
Oh my Gawd, this was like a scene from the sexiest ever episode of Supernatural! Molly painted this so damned well I was right there, seeing the car’s headlights illuminating the foggy road and throwing creepy shadows beneath the trees. And then my adrenaline spiked as I wondered whether or not Peter would survive his dirty hot encounter. Oh, and I loved that he chose a cuppa over booze at the end. That’s a proper British way to end a ghost story!
Unearthly Sounds by Rebel’s Notes
This is bloody brilliant. Firstly, I find the name Sebastian supremely sexy, so I was instantly there for that. The build up awakened my personal nervousness of being alone in the woods in the dark, so that put me on edge. The excitement of knowing Sebastian was about to either see or take part in something hot tightened my thighs. And then there was that twist which Rebel swiftly followed up with an even twistier twist… I loved it!
Between the Worlds by Floss Does Life
This piece by Floss is so well written it didn’t even register until the second reading that no-one had sex. Nobody even masturbated, but there’s a definite hotness to the menace, to the immobility and helplessness, and to the thought of all the things that could happen to the Walker while she’s at the mercy of this creature. I found erotic suggestion in the simple fact that the creature acknowledges that the Walker is different now that she’s an adult. That awareness could potentially encourage him change from the bogeyman of her childhood into something much more grown-up. I’d really love to see another chapter of this.
I had a totally different prompt scheduled for this week, but decided to change it so we can stay in a Halloween-y mood. I’m sure with the image above, and the prompt ‘cemetery’ you can share some sexy, scary stories!
As always you can also link stories that do not follow the prompt!
The roundup for this week’s prompt will be done by Jaime Mortimer.
