I met Julie at Eroticon this year, but didn’t nearly talk to her as much as I wanted to. I should definitely change that next year and find time to sit down and have a proper conversation. One thing I really admire in Julie is the way she has grown in the Smut Marathon. She’s not a fiction writer, she said, but her stories said something else. You can find more of Julie on her blog or on Twitter.

Our Corporal Reward by Quiller Costello
This beautiful erotic and voyeuristic story, speaks of the trust required when couples swap partners. Our protagonist watches while Mark, plays with his wife Flick. The reassuring touches and words between he and Marks wife tell us just how important consent is for all parties. I love the way Quiller sets the scene and then describes in detail both the action and emotions.
School Reunion: (I’ve waited a long time) Part 2 by Posy Churchgate
Posy’s story about a school reunion gripped me from the start. I have to admit I hadn’t read part 1 which set the scene of romance and lust unrequited for a number of years. I know a couple who got together in this way and Posy’s story had me wondering if these kind of events happen more than you might imagine. Not surprisingly I love the way that Frank wants to dominate and take the lead and that our female character is only too happy to follow. Thank goodness she decided to go to that reunion and found out what sex with Frank was like.
Give Me All Your Money by Melody
I found Melody’s detailed assessment of financial dominance to be extremely interesting. I have seen FinDom adverts and treads on Fetlife and have to be honest that I find the whole concept both fascinating and slightly weird. Mostly this seems to relate to a dominant woman entering into a D/s relationship with a male sub, with a heavy emphasis on financial dominance. This is a long post, but well worth reading to the end as Melody discusses the various aspects of this phenomena. It is clear that there are a range of behaviours from the clearly consensual and ethical to those that are definitely abusive.
A symphony is an elaborate musical composition for full orchestra, typically in four movements, at least one of which is traditionally in sonata form, says Wikipedia. But, what is a symphony to you? Music? Life? Love?
