Introduction text here…

Top 3 by Nero J. Black

With 24 submissions this week it was a really hard job whittling them down to just three. In the end I had to be ruthless, since the writing was so good across the board. I read them all but I struck out everyone who hadn’t followed the prompt (regardless of how good they were) and also the one’s that didn’t ‘stir my loins’. A bit unfair perhaps since we are all stirred by different things but I’m the Judge this week so that’s that. Here is my Wicked Wednesday Top Three (in no particular order):

Curtains by Steeled Snake
I loved the description of the storm that blew in and swirled through the house, followed quickly by thunder. I’ve been in just such a storm and Snake really tapped into my memories of that, and the frisson that nature creates. A darkened house, flashes of light, and stolen glances of a person masturbating. Heaven for a voyeur like me!

Ghostly Aria by Books1799
This is a fantastic story involving a relic of days long passed and the spooky stage show contained therein. Cousin Pons does a great job in creating an eerie vibe as the spectacle unfolds. Or should that be ‘spectre-cal’? CP has drawn together a fine cast of characters for his tale, and I wondered where he drew his inspiration. A strange dream perhaps?

A Dystopia We Deserve by Scanderella
One could label Scanderella a mysandrist after reading this story, but then you’d be missing the point. She’s provided a fascinating insight into a possible future for men if the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements are ignored, or taken to the extreme. That I found her bleak story erotic is a testament to her writing skills. Each paragraph is infused with a thread that speaks to our (male) bullshit.
