Prompt #160: Disability

Last week 16 posts were linked to the prompt ‘Give A Dog A Bone’. It’s wonderful to see how passionate some people feel about subjects, but not all posts that were linked followed the prompt, which is perfectly okay as it’s never compulsory.

My top 3 for last week’s prompt is as follows:

579 by Molly
People watching can be so nice and in this piece of writing, the main character dreams away about a man in the bar. Molly sets a scene in which there is contact between the man and the woman and then she leaves you hanging at the end, wanting more.
(You might also want to read this post from the male point of view – said with tongue in cheek!)

Wicked Wednesday #158 – Give A Dog A Bone by F Dot Leonora
This ongoing story of F Dot Leonora started in the 97th week of Wicked Wednesday. This week Eliza, the very first character that was introduced to us, has a fight with her fiance. A huge fight, that is brilliantly portrayed in words by F Dot Leonora.

Casual fucks and infidelities by Chloë
When I read the first sentence of this piece, I was hooked: “When it comes to casual sex, the relationship status of the person I’m fucking has never been a concern of mine.”
Before I read on, I already agreed with Chloë, only after reading this one sentence. But, I also respect that there are people who look at this differently. For us, as you might have read on my blog, I agree with Chloë.

This week we are going for a totally different prompt…

Disabilities is an umbrella term, covering impairments, activity limitations, and participation restrictions. An impairment is a problem in body function or structure; an activity limitation is a difficulty encountered by an individual in executing a task or action; while a participation restriction is a problem experienced by an individual in involvement in life situations. Thus, disability is a complex phenomenon, reflecting an interaction between features of a person’s body and features of the society in which he or she lives..
